I am pleased to announce that after taking part in

the results are in. I came 77th after aquiring a score of 28355 having

I am pleased to announce that Emma M6EOW is to be in May's edition

of Practical Wireless Magazine and Radcom after completing her foundation exam at

North Wakefield Radio club in January. The club have had a set of successful

candidates thanks to the help from Andrew Walker M0HFX and Robin Moseley G1MHU.

has passed her foundation exam at North Wakefield Radio Club. Her new

call sign is M6GEZ. Well done Georgie and we are all proud of you and we

On the occasion of 21st World Handball Championship in Croatia - 2009

 

Croatian Amateur Radio Association, in order to promote sports and

 

amateur radio in Croatia, issued a special award under the name

 

MEN's WORLD HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP CROATIA 2009

 

The award was available to all amateur radio and SWL stations that in the period

 from 1st January until 1st February 2009 established a certain number of QSOs

with special stations from 7 cities in which the

21st World Handball Championship for men was held.

The cities were as follows:

 Zagreb, Varazdin, Osijek, Porec, Pula, Zadar and Split.

The following call signs were used:

9A2009ZG, 9A2009VZ, 9A2009OS, 9A2009PO,

9A2009PU, 9A2009ZD + 9A2009ST

 

I am pleased to announce that both myself (2e0ijk)

 

and partner Emma (m6eow) have achieved this award

 

myself earning Gold and Emma earning Silver.

 

 

 

This will be Emma's first award since she was licenced in January

 

and she is pleased to be waiting for her award to arrive through the post

 

and looking forward to achieving more awards in the near future.

has now successfully passed and awaits her new call sign.

I am pleased to announce that I will be taking part in the

International lighthouse and lightship weekend 2009

on 15th and 16th of August 2009. I will be transmitting

from Whitby High Lighthouse ENG 164.

2E0IJK Works VK from new mobile set up.

Today I had my first contact into VK (Australia) from my new

mobile set up thanks to VE9AR Archie giving me the

chance to call VK6NTE Ted. Thanks to both for

the great Qso and I will listen out for you

both in the near future.

Finally now 2e0ijk is mobile on Hf.

I will be running 20metre mobile as from today

thanks to the efforts from M3YTV+2E1AYS. We installed

a yaesu ft857d and maldol 20m antenna to get

me up and running and will be heard most days so

listen out for me in the mobile! Thanks to Bob G7PAF for

the first mobile recordings of me working

EC5AB and W1/GI0MPT on my first day.

the M6 course at North Wakefield Radio club.

Today the Cushcraft MA5B mini beam was installed.

Special thanks to Bob G7PAF for the construction of the beam

and to Daz 2E1GLS for helping move it into position.

News for 29/10/2008

In the next few weeks I will be installing a new antenna.

The Cushcraft MA5B mini beam with rotator.

Pictures of the installation and new antenna

will be added to the site as soon as installation

is complete ready for 2009.

I will be then using the Diamond cp6 portable

at various locations in early summer 2009.
