I first started my hobby in 1998 when I went to my uncles house and saw his scanner.
I listened to various things and was hooked so much me and my parents went and bought one for me.
In 1999 I bought a CB and worked DX from the age of 15. In November 2004
I took my foundation Amateur Radio exam and passed and got my first call sign M3IJK.
I was pleased with the hobby and what I had got involved in I wanted to move on
and in November 2005 passed my intermediate Amateur radio exam and got my call 2E0IJK.
As my hunger for the hobby has progressed so has my station. My first radios consisted
of an Icom 703 for HF and a yaesu 8900R for VHF/UHF which I purchased
in 2004 when I was first licenced as M3IJK.
Pictured below is my first amateur station.

My station then progressed from 2004 as well as my interest in the hobby from moving
on to doing the intermediate license, to upgrading my station in 2005 to the following
YAESU FT 857D as my main Hf radio. YAESU FT 8900R for 2 metre 70cm's.
YAESU FT 817D for my second Hf radio. I used an Mfj 941E tuner for tuning my antennas
and a Heil Goldline microphone for my audio. I used this station until 2007 and then
made the station I have and use today. I really enjoy the hobby and always look for
new adventures. I have recently started transmitting mobile and portable and
taking part in events and contests and have had great results and fun.
My interest keeps growing and growing and so does my station history so
thats it for now until the next update of the history of 2e0ijk
